For a street and skate style, the French EQSO The Crew blind box offers six vinyl characters and a secret figure.

Labubu has become a phenomenon: queues outside stores, series sold out in minutes, little monsters dangling from celebrities’ bags. This sharp-toothed character, created by artist Kasing Lung in The Monsters universe and popularised by Pop Mart, introduced millions of people to blind boxes. But it is often impossible to find… and the art toy world is much bigger. Here are eight blind box series to discover if you love Labubu.

1. Skullpanda (Pop Mart)

A darker, more poetic universe, released in series with very varied themes. Perfect if you like Labubu’s slightly strange side, with more mystery.

2. Hirono (Pop Mart)

A melancholic-looking little boy, released in highly expressive series. Fans love him for his emotions, far from “just cute”.

3. Crybaby (Pop Mart)

Characters with clearly visible tears, somewhere between tenderness and irony. A good lead if you like blind boxes that tell a story.

4. Dimoo (Pop Mart)

A dreamy little character with cloud-shaped hair, often in very colourful series. Softer than Labubu, but just as collected.

5. Smiski

Small Japanese glow-in-the-dark figures that hide in the corners of your home. Discreet, funny and perfect for a shelf or a desk.

6. Sonny Angel

Little Japanese cherubs wearing hats (animals, fruit, flowers…). A blind box classic, loved for its simplicity and seasonal series.

7. Dunny (Kidrobot)

A rabbit silhouette that became one of the icons of designer toys, reinterpreted by many artists in blind box series. For those who want to move towards artist-made art toys.

8. EQSO The Crew (Popterror)

A French blind box, designed in Lille by our father-and-son duo. Six 8-9 cm vinyl characters, somewhere between skateboarding, graffiti and street culture: Skully, Vandal, Purple, Cherry, Supagreen and Cyclo, plus a secret figure at one in a hundred. You can buy a single box for €18 or the full set of six boxes with no duplicates. If Labubu made you love the surprise, EQSO The Crew takes you into a more street universe.

<picture class="pic"></picture>
The display of six EQSO The Crew blind boxes, Popterror’s French blind box.

Quick comparison

Series

Creator or brand

Style

Who is it for?

Labubu

Kasing Lung · Pop Mart

Cute and strange

The phenomenon of the moment

Skullpanda

Pop Mart

Dark and poetic

Fans of mysterious universes

Hirono

Pop Mart

Melancholic

Emotion lovers

Crybaby

Pop Mart

Tender and quirky

Story lovers

Dimoo

Pop Mart

Dreamy and colourful

Fans of softness

Smiski

Japan

Glow-in-the-dark, discreet

Desks and small shelves

Sonny Angel

Japan

Cherubs with hats

Series collectors

Dunny

Kidrobot

Artist designer toy

Artist-made art toys

EQSO The Crew

Popterror (France)

Street, skate, graffiti

Street culture fans

How to choose your next blind box

Style over trend: choose the universe that speaks to you, you will keep it longer.

The odds: a serious brand shows the odds of each character and of the secret one.

The full set: if you want the whole series, check that a duplicate-free display exists.

Official retailers: successful series are often faked.

To understand secret figures and odds, read our guide on how blind boxes work.
