EQSO vinyl art toys: 12.5 cm designer toys from France

An art toy (also called a designer toy) is an artist-made figure designed as an artwork: an original character, a strong design, a limited edition and a real place in a collection, somewhere between sculpture and pop object. Not a toy, but a piece you display.

Popterror art toys feature EQSO, an inhabitant of planet XO who is fascinated by our pop culture. Each vinyl figure is 12.5 cm (5 inches) tall and borrows from streetwear, skate and street culture, with bold colours and minimalist poses. They are designed in Lille, France, by Romain and Fred, a father-and-son duo of a 3D artist and a graphic designer.

Series 1 (Deep Blue, Cherry Lady and Black Skully) was born from a Kickstarter campaign in February 2024: 500 copies in total, now sold out. Series 2 brings together Dark Light, Xtra Red and Purple Fire, each limited to 300 copies. You can also get all three at once with the S2 Full Pack at a special price.

Every art toy comes in premium packaging with a certificate of authenticity signed by the artists. To complete your collection, check out our signed EQSO posters or try your luck with The Crew blind box.

These are French designer toys, steeped in street art, graffiti and skateboarding: collectible figures that also make a real decor statement (see our street art decor ideas). To learn about the movement, read what is an art toy, and about our character in the EQSO story.
