Custom mascot design: from drawing to collectible figure

A great mascot is a shortcut: people see it and think of your brand. Yet many mascot projects end as a drawing filed away in a brand book. For us, the drawing is only the beginning. Because we have been making our own art toys since 2023, we design every character so it can live everywhere: on your screens, on your packaging, on your trade-show stand… and as a physical figure.

What’s included

Every mascot design project includes:

• a briefing workshop to understand your brand, audience, values and how the character will be used;
• style research and sketches: several directions, silhouettes and attitudes;
• development of the chosen direction: proportions, colours, details, accessories;
• a 3D model of the character, built from the start so it can be produced as a figure (wall thickness, parts, balance);
• feedback rounds at every stage, so you stay in control of the result.

How it works

1. Brief: one meeting to frame your goals, constraints and timeline.
2. Sketches: we present several directions and you pick one.
3. Refinement: the mascot takes its final shape, in colour.
4. 3D modelling: the character becomes a volume, from every angle.
5. Variations: views, expressions and usage rules.
6. What’s next? If you wish, we move straight on to the prototype and figure manufacturing.

Deliverables

At the end of the project you receive a complete kit, ready for your teams and agencies:

• the character sheet: the full mascot, its colours and main details;
• the turnaround: front, side and back views, essential for 3D and manufacturing;
• a set of expressions (joy, surprise, anger…) to bring your communication to life;
• usage guidelines: dos and don’ts, minimum sizes, reference colours;
• the source files: Illustrator files, research and final versions, plus the 3D model when it is part of the quote;
• as an option, animated 3D renders or staged scenes of the mascot in different settings.

Options

• Physical figure: 3D-printed resin prototype, then mass production in vinyl or PVC. This is where we make the difference: the character is designed for manufacturing from the very first sketch.
• Blind box: a series of variations of your mascot in mystery boxes, like our EQSO The Crew blind box.
• Collector’s edition: a numbered version with premium packaging and a certificate.
• 3D animation: our 3D animation studio produces content that showcases your mascot, on social media or in advertising.
